Introducing House Of Clues -- all fandom, all the time.

House O Clues

The problem with archives, is that they're generally one or t'other; either fic, or art, or meta. If an archive is up for fic, they aren't set up for art, and they don't want just fannish natterings cluttering up their space. Rinse, lather, repeat in all the other possible combinations, too.

So, under inspiration from another fan on my flist, ([info]ldybastet,) I've decided to create a fanworks repository on Dreamwidth. A place were someone who's only looking for Cluegirl's stories, art, or fandom metae can go to more easily get what they're seeking, and not have to dig through my day-to-day, or stories about my cats to locate what they're looking for.

Not that I'm going to stop posting fan content in my other journals, you understand, but this will allow the people who are only around for the fandom content to defriend me here, and just follow the concentrated fan-font over there. Rss feeds and whatnot easily ganked, and so on, so it needn't even be much of a chore.

I haven't populated the account just yet. I've decided to take my time doing that, and have at it as a kind of retrospective of my own HP fan history. Post perhaps one or two old stories and pictures a week over there, until I've got the lot done. And, being the feedback glutton I am, of course I'll post pointers over here as I do so. What? It's the only paycheque I get for all this work, you know! I'm allowed to relish it!

So I've started today, with Morte O Merce. It's one of the oldest, and wildly AU, but I'm still a bit fond of it as Snack fics go. It is also filtered for age, so you might need to take steps in order to view it. Sorry if that's a bother, but, well, it's a safety measure on my end, so I'm afraid it's not optional.

Anyhow. I'm hoping that by revisiting some of my older stuff, I'll be able to recapture a bit of the oomph I've been missing lately in my fandom pursuits. Here's hoping it works out more or less like that!
