Art Pointer post -- Severus Sighs banner

Title -- I didn't give it one, really, since it was on commission.
By -- [info - personal] cluegirl
Rating -- tame as tapwater, and entirely worksafe, even if you work in a daycare.
Fandom -- Harry Potter
Disclaimer -- Jo Ann Rowling does not pay me for the free advertising my artworks generate for her franchise. Neither does Warner Brothers Pictures. Any money I do make is down to my own creativity and effort.
Use -- No. The moderators of the [info - community] severus_sighs community own all rights of use to this image. You may not archive it, icon it, banner it, or wallpaper it without express permission FROM THEM! However I'm sure they'll be happy to let you join the community, so you can see it, and all the happy Snape-centric fun that goes along with it whenever you'd like.
Artist's Notes -- I had SUCH a fun time with this one! I'd been kind of wanting to try that perspective on a seated figure for awhile, and this commission gave me just the perfect chance to try it out. Thanks to GoldSeven for her marvelous tutorial, from which the technique I used to create this image (and also, The Hero's Return) arose. DeviantArt, while run by and populated with homophobic prudes, is still capable of rocking occasionally.

Severus... *sighs*

Art Post -- Worksafe -- The Spinner's End.

Title: The Spinner's End
By: Cluegirl
Rating: PG-13
No Pairing, Spoilers for Deathly Hallows.
Disclaimer: JKR doesn't pay me for the advertising my art and fiction provide her franchise, and neither does anybody else.
Medium: Pen and ink on sketchbook paper. Yes, the original is available. Contact me privately if you're interested.
Artist's Notes: This technically is an illustration of my story We Shine Like Stars "Severus Snape lay like a great, dark stain at the bottom of the stairs. Only his face and the hand beside it shone white against the welter of sprawling robes, fanning black hair, and -- Ginny caught a scent, hanging raw, thick and horrible in the still air, and she grimaced as she realized the surface on which Snape lay was probably not some oddly shaped, shiny sort of carpet." Of course, for the multitudes who did not read that story, this sketch serves to illustrate the main canon text anyhow, if a little offscreen and to the left.
Feedback: Yes please!
Archiving: You may download this for your collection without asking, however, you may NOT upload it anywhere else without talking to me first. If you'd like to icon or background this (though why, I couldn't imagine,) just ask me first please. I'll probably say yes, but we has rules around here...

Wizards didn't die like that. Not as though something huge and merciless had crushed him uncaring - had hardly noticed as it sped on its way. )

Art Post -- Worksafe... but a bit iffy.

Title: The More You Pay
Artist: [info]cluegirl
Fandom: Harry Potter
Character: Draco Malfoy
Rating: PG-13. You could show your boss and not get fired, but your kid would probably ask uncomfortable questions.
Disclaimer: We all know who owns the Harry Potter universe. I'm not pretending to be her, so let's not get shirty, shall we?
Artist's note: Some five years back (or so,) I drew this portrait of Lucius Malfoy for [info]gmth, as a thanks for her having let me, a complete unknown, play in on the very first [info]merry_smutmas. Now that the canon is essentially finished, I decided to add another page to the family album. I did use a photo reference, and I promise the kiss of your choosing to anyone who can name the model I used. (I make this promise being quite sure nobody will do, because it isn't who you think. No, really, he just drifted in that guy's direction, is all.) Also, if my layout truncates the view, just right-click and select 'view image', and that should clear it up.
Media: Chalk pastels and Prismacolors on grey paper.
Feedback: YES! Please feed the artist's muse.
Archiving/ iconning/ web-use: Sure. Just let me know that you're doing it, and where I can see the finished piece, and do NOT take my signature off, and it's all good.

...The more it's worth. )

I drawed a pitcher.

Title:
Artist: Cluegirl
Pairing: Snape/Harry
Rating: I hope your boss and kids like it too.
Media: Pencil sketch coloured via photoshop, background photomanipped into place.
Disclaimer: JKR is not in any way injured by my drawing and posting this picture, no matter what her handlers at Warner Brothers think.
Artist's Notes: This is an illustration for my Snarry story, Disenchanted, which is decidedly NOT worksafe. At all. No matter WHERE you work. So don't read that if you're going to get weird.
This picture is large. Dial up users beware. If my journal layout truncates the image, just right-click and select 'view image', and all should be well.
Archiving: Sure. Just please let me know where it's going, and how you'll be using it.
Feedback: is love! And I am utterly without shame.
