Art Post -- Worksafe... but a bit iffy.

Title: The More You Pay
Artist: [info]cluegirl
Fandom: Harry Potter
Character: Draco Malfoy
Rating: PG-13. You could show your boss and not get fired, but your kid would probably ask uncomfortable questions.
Disclaimer: We all know who owns the Harry Potter universe. I'm not pretending to be her, so let's not get shirty, shall we?
Artist's note: Some five years back (or so,) I drew this portrait of Lucius Malfoy for [info]gmth, as a thanks for her having let me, a complete unknown, play in on the very first [info]merry_smutmas. Now that the canon is essentially finished, I decided to add another page to the family album. I did use a photo reference, and I promise the kiss of your choosing to anyone who can name the model I used. (I make this promise being quite sure nobody will do, because it isn't who you think. No, really, he just drifted in that guy's direction, is all.) Also, if my layout truncates the view, just right-click and select 'view image', and that should clear it up.
Media: Chalk pastels and Prismacolors on grey paper.
Feedback: YES! Please feed the artist's muse.
Archiving/ iconning/ web-use: Sure. Just let me know that you're doing it, and where I can see the finished piece, and do NOT take my signature off, and it's all good.

Wow, that is gorgeous!
Shiny. That's just beautiful.
That's gorgeous! I love how piercing Draco's eyes are.
Oh that's so pretty. Love the hair especially, with the strands separated just right, and the shape of his eyebrow. *_* Gorgeous!

and here's my ref guess: brad pitt? :3
Okay, now I've got that Don McLean song stuck in my head, and don't even know if you'll know what I mean.

It doesn't quite grab me the way the Lucius portrait did, and the Draco in my head has thinner lips, but I love the hard despair of him. He's so curled in and slack, except for his wand hand, which is clenched, as if he's not part of his power at all.
Lovely! The colours and curves of his skin are beautiful, particularly around his eyes and the forearm with the dark mark. Love that soft shading. I think his head looks a little large in proportion to his shoulders - particularly the width of the visible upper arm. The intensity of his eyes is quite scrummy, and I adore the gorgeous fluid curves of that snake.

The model...er... sorta wondering if it's someone like a young Jude Law or Leonardo DiCaprio, but that's a very weak guess :).
Totally mesmerising and incredibly beautiful!

Do you mind if I icon it, assuming I a)find the time, and b) credit?

*drools politely*
Oh, he's lovely! What a beautiful portrait! :-) Love the shading, the snake is giving a magical atmosphere. His eyes are really piercing, almost accusatory. And I love his hands, hands can be so hard to draw, at least for me (almost as hard as faces).
That is really really pretty. Beautiful colours and shading.

Not to mention the purrrrr ...
Oh, wow, the intensity of his gaze! His lips. His hands. His hair. The texture of his skin. The spell. That's just gorgeous!

And he's got the Dark Mark! And did I mention I LOVE his eyes? :-)
Is it Max Thieriot? (Link is to a google image)

This is beautiful. I adore his eyes and lips.
Lovely. Great muscle tension and the eyes are the best. *snickers* I vaguely remember a picture like this but it was an actress*
Gosh, he is so beautiful... The eyes are captivating and I love the pose he's in. The blue snake of smoke is gorgeous.

Thanks so much for posting this.
I know it's been said by everyone before me* , but that's beautiful.

* I'm sure you still like to hear it though.
Utterly gorgeous.
Oh that is gorgeous. I love his eyes, and the subtle glimpse of his tat. Wonderful!
Very lovely. I love the snake in the background, the hint of Dark Mark on his arm, and his eyes are excellent too.~Sophia

Here via friendsfriends.

That's gorgeous! I love how the viewer's (read "my") attention goes to his eyes straight away.
Lovely, as usual. :-) I adore the defined cheekbones; it's such a sexy look.

You are so freaking talented!
Brilliant.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Love it! Your reference reveal quite surprised me. Nifty. :D
Whoot, that's gorgeous.
That is absolutely gorgeous!
WOW. That's beautifully gorgeous. I love the shading, and the wand. I also love how the grey eyes come across so clearly. You've done a fantastic job here!
