Deep greens and blues are the colours I choose...

I've finished it.

I need to give the commissioner first peek at it, in the interest of fairness, but if she's willing, I'll post scans, or possibly photos of the finished pic tomorrow -- whichever lets the metallic paint show up best.

To say I'm pleased with it? Criminal understatement. Even finished, it's still the best painting I've done, by way of craft.

Oh, so chuffed.
And now I gotta go sleep?
Pshyeah, THAT'LL work...

Maybe I should read something yummy.

Archiving: Absolutely NOT This painting, and the online copies of it belong to [info]bethbethbeth, and if you want to copy it, alter it, icon it, background it, or archive it online, you must FIRST show me permission in writing FROM HER. Otherwise, you're stealing it, and we hateses thieveses, Precious!
Linking: Yes, please, but do please also note that it is a commission piece, and name the source material.
Medium: Watercolour, embellished with Spectrum metallic pigments.
Artist's Notes: This commission painting was one of my sales in the [info]livelongnmarry auction. I was criminally late in getting it done, but now that it IS done, I'm quite proud of it. The challenge was, of course, to do a portrait of a man with a blinding aura of light around him. The solution was to fall back on my Art Nouveau roots, and try to do a mash up of Mucha and Klimt, with Cluesauce on. The image is, you will not be surprised to hear, is quite large, and unwieldy for the dial-up user.
Feedback: Pet the Kitteh! Pet her! Pet her!

And a Mark was set upon him, lest any finding him should kill him. )
